The ANS is the body’s intelligent security system that has evolved over millions of years to help keep us safe. It is responsible for perceiving threat and reacting with flight/fight/freeze in dangerous situations to help us survive.

The flight/fight/freeze response may remain stuck or looping when the body does not have the available resources to re-stabilize and re-regulate after trauma/stressors.

This can be accomplished through developing awareness of and processing the body’s messages in safe and stable conditions. Sessions in nature may provide additional layers of support for healing.
